Wadi Rum, also known as Valley of the Moon, is a spectacular place to visit in southern Jordan. Along with Petra it is one of the must-see sights in the country. And once you go there you will understand that it is also one of the very special places on Earth. Inhabited by the bedouines, this is a valley cut into the sandstone and granite rock. It is a great place for climbers, trekkers, people who just want to spend a day admiring the desert-like landscape or stay aslo for the night in one of the bedouin camps.

For 45 JOD per person you can get a place in a jeep and enjoy a whole day in the desert, with lunch, water and tea at sunset included in the price. We were 4 adults so we basically had a private tour, which was great as we could stop wherever we wanted. Our driver Mapboll was the warmest person and we are so grateful we got to see Wadi Rum together with him. I highly recommend booking with bedouinnomads.
